| ĦĦBased on the two research fields of distributed and mobile computing, and electronic commerce and administration, which embody the essential and high-end applications of computer, the School focuses its study and teaching on the integration of computation and communication and that of computation and administration. The distributed and mobile computing cover the areas of platform and application: the former relates to researches on hardware and development tools and the latter concerns the stream media, wireless communication, etc. The School tries to upgrade its development of core software via focusing on the construction of laboratories of distributed and mobile computing, and stream media. In terms of electronic commerce and administration, the School looks for the breakthroughs in the software development in the fields of retailing and distribution and concentrates its energy on the implementation of large-scale managerial information system. With its focus on the construction of the research center of retail management system, jointly collaborated by business people from Kinhom (Hong Kong), Great Wall, IBM, SAP, JDA, etc., to cultivate the engineers and consultants for corporate informatization.
