To meet the demand of National Software Industrial Development
in 21st Century, Software School of Fudan University concentrates
on cultivating versatile, practical and high-level software-oriented
talents, who have solid background, wide knowledge scope, excellent
skills, high quality, creative ability and good collaboration.
Relying on the advantageous ground of Shanghai Information Industry
and the strong background of Fudan University, the school focuses
on the foundation of subjects, emphasizes on specialty degree
education and guarantees the structural establishment. It is
engaged in the construction of talents fostering center in accordance
to the need of current age, in order to play an active role
in improving the status of Chinese Software Technology and developing
the Software Industry.
The school offers diploma and degree studies at both undergraduate
and graduate level. Various international training courses in
IT field are also offered on campus. International applicants
are also admitted. In next 2 years, the number of total enrollment
every year in respects of undergraduate, master of science,
master of engineering is expected to reach 100, 50, 500 respectively.
Meanwhile, in aspect of faculty establishment, a teaching staff
consisting of a strong backbone part and an orderly flowing
part will gradually be built, which boasts both academic achievements
and practical experiences in software.
The school is now located in Handan Campus of Fudan University,
and is expected to move to the new location at Zhangjiang High-tech
Park in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The new site occupies 240
mu; its floor area is about 70,000 square meters. It includes
education, research, and life facilities. At that time, Software
School will obtain first-class conditions and environment of
teaching, research and living in the nation.
